Try the NHS App. If you’re a patient at our practice you can use the NHS App, a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet. You can use the NHS App to get health advice, order repeat prescriptions, manage your hospital referrals and view your GP health record. For more information go to www.nhs.uk/nhsapp.
What the NHS App does
- get advice about health conditions– get information about illnesses and ailments.
- order repeat prescriptions – see your available medicines, request a new repeat prescription and choose a pharmacy for your prescriptions to be sent to.
- book appointments – search for, book and cancel appointments at your GP surgery, and see details of your upcoming and past appointments.
- check your symptoms – search trusted NHS information and advice on hundreds of conditions and treatments, and get instant advice or medical help near you.
- register your organ donation decision – choose to donate some or all of your organs and check your registered decision.
- find out how the NHS uses your data – choose if data from your health records is shared for research and planning.
- view parts of your GP record – including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results.

Online Consultation
Registering for online services with the Manor Surgery
To register for online services, please bring a form of photo ID to reception and complete the online services registration form. Once this has been done, you should be granted access to online services within 48 hours.
Online services for young people and children
You must be 12 years of age to access online services. If you are between 12 and 16 years old and want to access the NHS app, please book a GP appointment. During this appointment, the GP will carry out a Gillick Competence assessment. Once the assessment is complete, the GP will decide if you can have online services or not.

If you are a parent or guardian and want to access your child’s online record on their behalf, you will need to apply for a proxy account.
Proxy accounts
Proxy accounts, or linked profiles, allow parents, family members and carers to access health services on behalf of other people. To apply for a proxy account, please bring photo ID for both people involved to the surgery and complete the proxy account registration form.
